This article is valid for ABBYY Lingvo for Mac versions earlier than 1.10.0.
The quick lookup feature doesn't work in one or more applications.
- Make sure that the application in which quick lookup doesn't work is a supported Cocoa application.
- If you purchased ABBYY Lingvo in AppStore, go to ABBYY Lingvo > Quit ABBYY Lingvo, download the module and install it.
If you have another version of ABBYY Lingvo for Mac (not from AppStore), skip this step. - Start ABBYY Lingvo.
- Go to ABBYY Lingvo > Preferences > Look Up, set up the needed key combination.
- On OS X 10.9 Mavericks and later:
- Go to System Preferences > Security&Privacy > Accessibility.
- Tick on the ABBYY Lingvo Pop-Up Translation item.
On OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion:
- Open the System Preferences dialog.
- Double-click the Keyboard icon.
- Choose Services.
- Select Lookup in ABBYY Lingvo.
- Select All controls.
- Go to System Preferences.
- Double-click the Universal Access (Accessibility) icon.
- Select Enable access for assistive devices.
- Select Show Universal Access status in the menu bar.
