ABBYY Lingvo was installed on a workstation from the administrative installation point, but still requests activation when it is launched.
If per seat licenses are activated in the License Manager, a copy of ABBYY Lingvo can request a license in two cases.
- If the computer hosting the Licensing Server wasn't connected to the internet when the workstation was installed.
- If the system service ABBYY Lingvo Licensing Service running on the server could not contact the address registration2.abbyy.com at port 80.
In both cases a license is assigned to the workstation, but the license isn't activated. The license gets the Reserved for <Station Name> status in the License Manager. Activate the license on the workstation using any of the available activation methods.
If concurrent licenses are activated in the License Manager, the copy of ABBYY Lingvo on the workstation should not request activation. If it does, the administrative installation point used to install ABBYY Lingvo on the workstation was not created correctly.
In this case you should create a new administrative installation point as described in the System Administrator's Guide and re-install ABBYY Lingvo on the workstation.
